Abstract

Politics in an organization is used to promote interests and gain advantage over competitors in a            market-oriented environment. Corporate politics affect the human resource management decisions such as selection, evaluation, promotion, retention, involvement, job satisfaction, job distress, commitment, absenteeism, negligent behaviors etc,. Today, organizational politics enjoys popularity in academic research as well as in the discourse on practical management. The prime objective of the present research study is to know the impact of the corporate politics over the gaining competitive advantages in Indian companies.
