Impact of Microfinance on Women Empowerment (With Special Reference to Gorakhpur District)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of microfinance services on empowerment of women in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Microfinance institutions are playing a key role in poverty alleviation and women empowerment. This study also aims to obtain information about various factors related to women empowerment through microfinance services and also to know which factor affect most and upto what extent. Reducing poverty and creating awareness among the rural areas results in growth of the nation, microfinance and SHG’s are working effectively to achieve this goal.
