Abstract

The subject of the paper is to evaluate the cycling competitions and cycling event organizers in comparison of South Africa and Ethiopia, having South Africa as a baseline survey. The survey study is conducted based on the available secondary sources of information from different journals, books and reviews. The focused key areas are developing to conduct more international cycling competitions, identify the cycling federation setbacks in Ethiopia and a strong recommendation to change the strategic plan of the Ethiopian cycling federation.  The survey results of the researchers are high involvement of stakeholders, outsourcing event organizers insurance policy, establishing a UCI training centers are recommended for the growth and development of cycling and cyclist federation.
