Abstract

This article is dedicated to the discussion of the concept of locality and interpretation of linguistic field. In particular, it synthesizes various viewpoints of scholars on the notion of linguistic field and consequently suggests that localism is a universal semantic category specific to all levels of language and integrated into a single area. It discusses the notion of locality from the perspective of system-structural linguistics so that the researcher can demonstrate the relationships between elements constituting the concept of locality.
